Water treatment:

Water aeration (stripping): the concentration of dissolved in groundwater oxygen is close to zero. For oxidation of Fe2+ and Mn2+ correspondingly to trivalent iron hydroxide and quadrivalent manganese dioxide, oxygen must be injected. Stoichiometrical amounts of oxygen are: 0,14 mgO2/mg Fe2+ and 0,29 mgO2/mg Mn2+. Aeration process is also used in wastewater biological treatment.

Water aeration (stripping) in the GDT unit which consists of Mazzei injector, degassing separator and degas relief valve. In the case of using ozone a reactor vessel („flash reactor“) is installed after the injector.

Aerated water outflow from the GDT at atmospheric pressure.
