Mazzei Injectors
Mazzei injectors are high-efficient Venturi-type injectors. At sufficient inlet and outlet pressure difference a vacuum is created due to the high kinetic energy of the water flow, and air (or ozone) is sucked in through the air channel. Mazzei injectors are very efficient, can operate in a wide range of pressure and require minimum pressure difference to suck in air or ozone.
Both liquid-gas and liquid-liquid systems may be used. By the inlet pressure the models are divided into low pressure (0,35-3,52 bar) and high pressure (4,22-8,44 bar) injectors. Depending on the back pressure different amounts of gas or liquid are sucked in. (see the Table of Mazzei injectors operation: here)
The capacity range is quite wide Q = 1.1 – 1722 l/min which enables to select appropriate injector model for any circumstance.
Advantages of Mazzei injectors:
- safe operation (no moving parts, operation under vacuum, not under pressure)
- no electricity consumption
- long life (made from PVDF (Kynar and Hylar) or polypropylene)
- pikk tööiga (valmistatud PVDF-st (Kynar ja Hylar) või polüpropüleenist)
- PVDF is ozone, chlorine, acids, bases, UV-radiation and wear resistant
- PVDF models are supplied with ISO-R(BSPT) thread
- much less costly comparing to other injection systems
